About Flooring Baytown: Careful Floors, Clear Records

We install hardwood, vinyl, tile, laminate and carpet in homes across the Baytown area. When a floor is damaged, we also help you record what happened and understand how a claim usually moves, so you can talk with your insurer from a clear starting point.

How We Work on a Damaged Floor

We have been in business 25+ years, and many of our jobs begin in a room where something went wrong first. A supply line let go under the sink, a water heater leaked into the hallway, or storm water came in under a door. Those jobs taught us that the floor you see is only part of it. Moisture travels into pad, underlayment and the edges of the slab, and it can keep working after the surface looks dry.

So we start by documenting. We photograph the damage before anything is pulled up, take moisture readings where they matter, and note the material, its layout and how far the damage reaches. You keep copies. That record is useful whether your insurer sends an adjuster to your home or asks you directly for photos and details.

We are careful about our role. We are not your adjuster, and we cannot tell you what a policy will cover. What we can do is explain the usual steps, give you a written estimate that lists the work line by line, and answer your adjuster's questions about the floor plainly. Once the decisions are made, we install the new floor with the same attention we give any job in your home.

What You Can Expect From Us

Photos before demolition

Nothing gets torn out until it has been photographed and measured. If removal has to happen quickly to keep things from getting worse, we still record each layer as it comes up, from finish floor to pad to subfloor.

Estimates an adjuster can follow

Our written estimates break out removal, subfloor prep, materials, transitions and trim on separate lines. You will see what moves the cost, such as square footage, stairs or a slab that needs leveling.

Honest answers on what can stay

Sometimes a few boards or a section of tile can be replaced and blended in. Sometimes a close match is not realistic and a full room makes more sense. We tell you which, and why.

Coverage and a first-year promise

We are insured. Each new floor we lay also comes with a 1-year workmanship warranty, so a seam that lifts or a transition that works loose during that first year is ours to come back and correct.
